What makes it stand out in a neighbourhood already accustomed to tall buildings is its floor plan: a pentagon rather than the rectangle or circle typical of high-rise residential towers.

The five-sided geometry is not merely cosmetic. Each face of the building meets the others at a slightly different angle, which means corner units and even mid-floor units receive a more varied relationship with the canal, Tokyo Bay, and the city skyline.
